Jordan Lake: Captain’s Nest report

Mom Bald Eagle at Captain’s Nest went to gather a stick, in a mid-air pickup, for the nest repair needed before she lays her eggs.  The stick did not cooperate at all!

  1. Really interesting to see how she had to stop herself in the midst of that major forward push…..took a lot of energy!

    1. If that had been an airplane instead of a living entity, putting on the brakes like mom eagle did, it probably would have torn the plane apart…
