The eagle who was rescued had intestinal worms which caused the fungal infection. It has been treated and is expected to make a full recovery. It will be banded before being released. Bonnie
That is great news about that eagle! And thank you for letting me know what the problem was. Hopefully y’ll be able to keep track of it if somebody can see enough of the band when it’s hanging around to get the ID numbers.
