Nice photo, the bird was really photogenic too. But that branch he’s standing on is strange too.
Actually, that is not a branch the hummer is perched on. It is a tassel of tall grass that the morning glory vine has wrapped itself around. I was standing in a whole field of the tall grasses having a great time waiting for a hummer to settle and let me take his picture. Glad you like the photo.
