Not at Jordan Lake… This is how my morning started. Grayced the Cat had been sitting quietly in my lap when we both heard a munch munch noise almost at my shoulder … 2 white-tailed bucks and a doe were happily having a feast of acorns right outside the window.
Like Goldilocks, Grayced wants things just right … in this case, um box, 9.50×12.25 inches fit him snuggly!
Jordan Lake. I sometimes bring my breakfast to the lake … and … I don’t always know who will be sharing the mealtime with me. I crunched my protein bar and the squirrel munched the core of a pine cone. The wind scattered all our crumbs.
Jordan Lake: How about, instead of feathers, I share this cute furry little guy? I do believe, if iNaturalist figured it out correctly, this is a Hispid cotton rat. Cute as he could be. Size would about fill my hand – he is a small rodent. I just never know what friend of the Jordan Lake Neighborhood I will meet on a morning’s walk.
Jordan Lake. Doc Ellen’s Natural Minute 09/07/021. Oh, delight in the fawn! Take care, be well. Stay safe.
