First Nest

Kate had just finished feeding Resolute.

Resolute will be 8 weeks old on March 24. He is almost as big as mom.

I managed to grab these few seconds of video.

My camera that I usually use for doing videos is not happy.

I resorted to using my iPhone to catch a few seconds of the live view from my other camera.

First Nest

Kate is on the left, Resolute is peeking out from under tree limb to her right and Petruchio is on the right.

The video is a series of clips from the morning I spent with First Nest.

Activities included bringing in a fish, nest repair, Kate and Petruchio in an eagle chatter duet, and Resolute playing.

First Nest

Mom Kate had snapped off a long twisted branch from a tree.

She headed for the nest to add it to her repair work.

Resolute got very interested …

and then he got worried, but all ended well

even though I was laughing so hard I got the landing photo all out of focus and didn’t include it …

The chick is below the branch, below Kate’s head.

Look for the light triangle of Resolute’s beak.

Kate is feeding Resolute. The chick snatches every last bite he can get and gulps it down.

First Nest

Resolute is growing like a weed …

but all I could catch with my camera was a wing flip today.
