H&G Nest

There they are, all 3 and Momma Godiva too.

From left to right: Momma Godiva, smallest chick Breeze, medium chick Gale and big chick Nor’easter.

Wind died down. Camera minded its ps and qs. Had some good light to bring y’all a better photo of the trio.

H&G Nest

SURPRISE!!!!!!

There are 3 chicks in the H&G nest. Usually bald eagles have 2 chicks each year.

Godiva and Hershey are working hard to keep them fed.

In the video, you will see Nor’easter to the right.

Then the medium chick Gale shows up to the left.

Don’t blink because the smallest chick Breeze pops up in front of Gale for just 2 eye blinks.

Am sorry that I can’t get better video for all of you – the wind and long distances task me and my equipment.

WOOWEE. First photos of chick at H&G nest.
Chick is about 10 days old. Hoping to see a second chick.
Nor’easter glows in the afternoon sun.
[the bird flying past is a double crested cormorant.]

2) Nor’easter is between mom Godiva and the main trunk of their nest tree.

First Nest

Mom Kate had snapped off a long twisted branch from a tree.

She headed for the nest to add it to her repair work.

Resolute got very interested …

and then he got worried, but all ended well

even though I was laughing so hard I got the landing photo all out of focus and didn’t include it …

Mom Kate and her chick Resolute

The chick is below the branch, below Kate’s head.

Look for the light triangle of Resolute’s beak.

Kate is feeding Resolute. The chick snatches every last bite he can get and gulps it down.

Resolute is growing like a weed …
