H&G Nest

SURPRISE!!!!!!
There are 3 chicks in the H&G nest. Usually bald eagles have 2 chicks each year.
Godiva and Hershey are working hard to keep them fed.
In the video, you will see Nor’easter to the right.
Then the medium chick Gale shows up to the left.
Don’t blink because the smallest chick Breeze pops up in front of Gale for just 2 eye blinks.
Am sorry that I can’t get better video for all of you – the wind and long distances task me and my equipment.

H&G Nest  HATCH!!!

Godiva is feeding a new chick(s).  She is on left side of the nest and her head is pointing to the right.

to show you the distances between a favorite perch for the parents and their nest; and the distances for my camera

I managed to get a few seconds of Godiva feeding the chick. Her head is to the left – watch for the tearing motion as she shreds the food.

Petruchio brought in a fish for supper.

Kate watches as Petruchio heads upwards with his fish.

He watched Kate feed the chick(s) – I still don’t know how many chicks.

The chick is still small so I added an arrow.

Godiva is still incubating.  Her egg(s) should hatch in about 9 days.

HATCHED!!!
I don’t know yet how many and we won’t know until the chicks are big enough to peek over the edge.

Kate looking interested in what is going on in the nest.

Petruchio bringing fresh bedding for the nest while Kate watches his approach as she keeps the chick(s) warm.
