The two Ranger bald eagle chicks practice wingwapping and leaps, playing with sticks and getting in a good scratch.

Dad Ranger somehow gets soaking wet.

Mom Ranger gets very upset.

One of the chicks is branching!

This nest is not the usual kind for our bald eagles.

Usually there are branches above and to the sides for the chicks to practice moving out on or up to.

In this case, there is pretty much only sideways.

The video is a quick 15 second snippet of one of the chicks branching.

An afternoon with the Ranger Nest bald eagle chicks.

They wingwap, watch a great blue heron fly by, pant in the heat and wait for food.

One of the bald eagle chicks flapped, jumped up and down, dashed back and forth …… and took flight.
