moon oft reminds
mystery sublime
mother for very first time
father full of Abba’s duty
star rising east
pales moon mist clouded
heavens foretell life shrouded
my heart weeps for their unseen loss
Bethlehem hills
as donkey nears gate
careful of rider’s slight weight
seem to call tired trio home
tis birthing eve
journey now distilled
parents’ vows will be fulfilled
manger and promised birth await

The migrant osprey was out fishing again this morning.
There is an injury at the tip of his right wing, but he doesn’t seem to notice it.
He is very efficient at his fishing and often pulls large fish out of the river.
He proudly showed me his catch as he left out over the dam.
out of the misty morning at Lake Mattamuskeet this young buck appeared
wading through the marsh, looking for tender plants to nibble

At 07:36:46 this morning I was brilliantly reminded of the symmetry of the universe.
