Quiz, like all eaglets, is very aggressive.
He thinks there should be food in mom’s talons so he makes a move for where food is supposed to be…….
then mantles with his wings what he thinks is food….
and plainly shows his disgust that mom brought nesting materials.
Sorry: NO audio…words were being used on nearby boats that are not family friendly, so I had to mute the audio.   video at https://flic.kr/p/Gx94L5

Mom's Toes

Dear Readers:

DANGER to ALL BALD EAGLES. Please share this posting.
I just got this link from a fellow Bald Eagle advocate. So far, nothing in my RSS in the Federal Register about the eagles and this permitting. But, sadly, I would not be surprised to see it show up. I am looking into this and IF I see a public comment open in the Federal Register about this I will let all of you know so you can comment.

the link to the Federal Register Wildlife is at https://www.federalregister.gov/topics/wildlife… and if you go down to February 17, 2016 you will see the ruling that originally changed the permitting that is mentioned in the article.

This 3 year old bald eagle was being stealthy.
My friend spotted him way back inside the upper-story of a pine.
The juvenile was strategically placed between 2 osprey nests.
The youngster was willing to wait for one of the male ospreys to fly by with a fish –
that the eagle could steal from the much smaller bird.
