Jordan Lake Dam, Wednesday, May 27, 2020. We have a tropical front sitting off our coast and it created some breath-stealing skies this morning. Usually we see rainbows in the afternoon because that’s when the light is at the right angle. But this morning, with the clouds and the rain, we have a dawn rainbow! Enjoy, take care. Be safe. Oh, be well!

Jordan Lake Dam and Haw River. The lake is all the way up to 226.92 feet. It may actually hit 227ft. today. Looks like no rain forecast for today. However the rest of the week looks wet again. It is certainly good being back out to the lake today. I hope each of you gets a chance to get outdoors, breathe fresh air and take a walk even if it’s just down to the corner and back. Have a blessed day. Take care, be safe. Be well!
Memorial Day 2020
For those who served and passed while members of the United States of America’s military:
I do not know the words to say thank you
thank you that you gave your last breath
so that I might stand here and breathe
equality is not yet complete
still
I can try to help achieve that goal
using the breath you passed to me
my gratitude to all who served so selflessly
peace and grace

Evening Note 05/24/2020
Somehow the tree caught the moonlight and illuminated the lake and my dreams. Please, come and dream beautiful cyan visions until we see what the morrow brings. Sleep well and at peace.

Evening Note 05/23/2020
drift off to sleep
honeysuckle fragrance
springtime memory
but wait
was there also
Carolina chickadee
peeking at me…
