Jordan Lake, Haw River, Friday, May 22, 2020. Oh, the lake is way up because the rains came down. The lake is at 222.14 feet. Remember the normal is 216 feet. You can see in the little video where the Haw River is up right at the bottom of the fishing pier. I’m sure it’s going to go over the top of the fishing pier, probably before midday. There is a lot of debris floating on the lake. I chuckled watching the vulture this morning doing a drip dry routine. Y’all have a blessed day. Be safe, be well.

Jordan Lake: Bluebird Fledgling Grump!
You know how teenagers are always hungry? That goes for fledglings too. A pair of sibling eastern bluebirds pester Dad Bluebird for another worm or bug or two. I have to say the expression on the bigger fledgling is very, very funny and oh, so much a grumpy pout. Enjoy!

This morning was more about the soft talking of the birds all around the top of the dam. It is okay if you decide to not watch, and just listen. Take care, be safe. Stay well.
