Grayced and I awoke this morning to a covering of snow! I’m very fond of various herbal teas. This morning I had dandelion leaf and root tea. Later today, I will have green tea. Then early evening have my very favorite of all times tea: Earl Gray Bergamot. I think I’m all warmly teed up for the day … are you?

Grayced is already sound asleep, tucked against me. As I give him a good dreams ear rub, I realize once again how small a cat he is. Time to stop the meandering thoughts and breathe a meditation that each being can be warm this frigid night.
peace and grace, Doc Ellen

Grayced the Cat has settled down into my lap as I am checking the weather report for the night. The forecast looks very cold and very snowy all about. But here inside, the two of us together and quiet, it is warm. We both ask that each of you be safe, be warm and settle in for a peaceful night.

In the 58 seconds that you have watched this gray squirrel, his heart has beat approximately 249 times. He is quietly at rest, safe on a window sill at my home. When a squirrel gets into full flight his heart rate can easily double. Whew!

Let’s talk about one of the biggest home decor trends right now—Moody Home Decor. It’s been trending for months, and with Winter here, it’s on theme. ❄️
Moody decor doesn’t always mean dark (although it can be). It’s more about rich, luxurious colors like jewel tones, deep blacks, and opulent fabrics. There’s even a touch of Art Deco flair in some versions of this trend. ✨ What do you think? Do you see my art fitting into this aesthetic?

The stark white of the waterlily is accentuated by the clear darkness of the water where it floats.
